Annual Report Catnic 2017/18 (1. April 2017 – 31. March 2018)

Encouragingly positive company development

During the fiscal year 2017/18, Catnic Deutschland GmbH, the leading manufacturer of plaster profiles in Germany and other European countries, had a highly encouraging development. The revenue was characterised by very good growth rates and the profit increased as well. On the one hand, the positive development can be seen with regards to the core market of Germany. Thanks to a highly committed sales force oriented toward competency and service provision, Catnic Deutschland successfully acquired new customers. But international business, which has been continuously expanding for years, also contributed considerably to the positive business development. Catnic Deutschland has been targeting markets in Scandinavia, the Baltic countries, as well as in Eastern and Southern Europe. The reporting period was marked by high double-digit growth rates. The strategy to position itself as a quality leader has proved successful: Catnic is the sole manufacturer of plaster profiles exclusively selling CE-certified products within and outside of the EU. Thanks to long-term customer relations, the company has established itself as market leader in numerous countries.

Customer-oriented product development

In the past fiscal year, continuous customer-oriented product development was once again a particular area of focus. New and innovative products were added to the product range for both plaster profiles and drywall profiles. Furthermore, existing products underwent continued development. This resulted in an increase in the material thickness of the galvanized sheet steel profiles from 0.48 to 0.60 millimetres. While other manufacturers are slimming down, Catnic has the strongest plaster profile on the European market

Investing in the future

During the reporting period, Catnic once again invested heavily by commissioning warehouses 4 and 5, adding new spaces for the expanded product range. At the same time, these spaces contribute to an improved commissioning of customer requests and accelerate delivery, as the logistics service provider is now a direct neighbour. In order to be able to continue to produce at the factory in Sinsheim, Catnic purchased seven manufacturing machines. This allows the company to address customer needs even more flexibly, for instance when manufacturing special profiles or to cover peaks in demand. The start of production is targeted for the summer of 2018. Furthermore, Catnic invested in marketing. The website received a new, modernised make-over and has a clear structure as well as quick and easy search functionality. Additionally, the print catalogue was entirely remodelled. Dimensions for all products now make it easier for customers to choose the right profile.

Positive outlook for the ongoing fiscal year

For the current fiscal year 2018/19, Catnic expects additional positive development with increased revenue and profit. The construction of a dedicated production location in Sinsheim will stimulate added important growth for the company.
